various refractive errors, that is, need for glasses and
contact lenses. Chris A. Knobbe, M.D., ophthalmologist and
refractive surgeon, as well as the author, presents a unique

Dr. Chris Knobbe is certified by the American Board of
Ophthalmology. He is Assistant Clinical Professor at the
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas,
Texas. Having graduated from the University of Colorado
School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado, he subsequently
completed a transitional internship at Denver Presbyterian
and St. Luke's Hospital systems before completing his
residency training in ophthalmology at the University of
Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Knobbe is now
in private practice in the Dallas, Texas area. He has
specialized in cataract and refractive surgery since
beginning private practice in 1994. He is a member of the
American Academy of Ophthalmology and the
American Society
of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Knobbe is also the
founder and president of the prominent website,

basic content of which was written and developed by Dr.
Knobbe. EyeMDLink.com was launched in 2000 and has attracted
millions of visitors since.
